Farris Memorial Park Trail – Groundbreaking
Something big is happening at Farris Memorial Park. 
On October 2, we’re breaking ground on four miles of brand new mountain bike trail at Farris Memorial Park in Mayodan.
Those four new miles will connect with the park’s four miles of existing trail, creating an eight mile trail system for mountain bikers, hikers, families, kids, and anybody who wants to get outside.
This project is being made possible through funding from the Great Trails State Program through N.C. State Parks, an investment that is helping communities across North Carolina build the kind of outdoor recreation infrastructure that lasts for generations.
And here in Rockingham County, that investment is about to become actual dirt, actual trail, and a whole lot more places to ride.
