The Smith River Hwy 14 Access would create a new public access point for paddling and upstream fishing above the Spray Dam while strengthening Rockingham County’s connection to the Dan River State Trail and expanding recreational opportunities along the Smith River.

This public meeting is part of the application process for the Connecting Communities to State Trails (CCST) Grant. The CCST Grant is funded through North Carolina’s Complete the Trails Program, which helps communities develop connections to the State Trails system.
