A Pairing Dinner for Toys for Tots

We’ve been planning something a little special for Friday, October 30, and now we can finally tell you what’s at the heart of the evening:

An adult wine pairing dinner.

Join us at Gioia dell’Amore Cellars for an evening of passed appetizers, a plated dinner, dessert, and four thoughtfully selected wine pairings designed to complement the meal from beginning to end.

Culinary Visions Catering will be creating a playful menu inspired by some familiar Toy Story characters, including Buzz’s Citrus Chicken AND Woody’s Roundup Brisket on the plated meal (OR Bo Peep’s Stuffed Acorn Squash for our allergy sensitive and vegetarian guests).

And yes, there will be a little Toy Story magic sprinkled throughout the evening. Costumes are completely optional. Guests who arrive in costume receive a complimentary raffle ticket. Bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots and receive a raffle ticket for each item donated. Additional raffle tickets will also be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting Rockingham County Toys for Tots.

In addition to the included pairings, our cash bar will be open with Gioia wines and local craft beer.

And if you’re thinking this sounds like a lovely excuse for a little weekend getaway, our on-site cabins will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Special-event weekends have a funny way of filling up.
