I had an amazing burger+fries To-Go experience. The burger ingredients were intentionally and neatly divided throughout the sandwhich, making it the EASIEST on-the-road burger I've ever eaten (much appreciated 👏 @CheckersGrill). The hamburger meat was great; it hit that "50's diner style burger" on the head!! Delicious 😋!! Service was VERY kind, country, and down to earth [I prefer this over fake smiles and forced chipper voices]. All of the food was super tasty!! I live near Charlotte NC, and we have lots of diners and burgers there…but I encourage anyone to try here. NOTE: Please ignore the complaints about the burgers being "small." I didn't even order a double and I left completely full. It’s time we stop pushing "supersized" expectations onto local shops, which only forces them to hike prices and compromise on quality. If you want an over-engineered, processed burger built for quantity, go to a chain in the city. If you want a genuine mom-and-pop shop that is providing real value and high-quality food, come here and support this business for doing things the right way.

This hamburger-hot dog restaurant reminds me of Shorty’s in Boone, North Carolina. I enjoy eating here because it reminds me of where my husband John and I ate in our “courting days.” This place in Madison, N. C., is popular like Shorty’s was, and customers might have to wait for a booth, but there is a long row of red leather stools for those willing to choose a “bar seat.” The best and final part of a meal is the outstanding Hershey's ice cream, served on a delicious cone with HUGE dips. If you plan to have ice cream, share an order of fries or onion rings. I guarantee their ice cream treats will satisfy your sweet tooth. Their banana split makes me want to take a picture, but I could never order one unless I planned to share it with at least two other people. It’s a creation worth seeing. Suppose you want a fast-food meal that lets you enjoy a casual setting with excellent choices that put a smile on your face and a tummy full of good food as well, go to Checker’s. The servers there are friendly and helpful, creating a warm atmosphere. When you leave, you can choose from the fresh produce displayed near the cash register. You can also fill your vehicle with fairly-priced Exxon gas.

I got a cheeseburger combo all the way and it was unbelievably good got tater tots and a stack them hot and a lot of them… And the huge cinnamon buns they sell at the cash register are phenomenal

Been here a couple of times. You have to wait depending on crowd but definitely worth it. All the ladies are so pleasant. I stop in at least once a week now.
