Outstanding experience. My sister and I came for a day visit and it was more than I could have ever imagined. Madison shared about the Madonna room and Hush Harbor, as a part of our check-in. The overall property is something else, but especially those two areas. To understand and experience the intentionality and love put into crafting those specific spaces for Believers that are people of color was beautiful. I felt seen. It was a true display of El Roi, seeing our humanness and spiritual walk all in one place. What a beautiful display of serving with excellence. I cannot wait to return.

This retreat center is the perfect place whether you are seeking solitude for purposes of spiritual reflection and meditation or simply want to unplug from the chaotic noise of social media and bask in the peaceful silence of nature where you can hear acorns falling from the trees and watch deer and squirrels foraging for food. Walk the labyrinth to contemplate difficult decisions or stroll the trails over acres of lush forest to snap inspirational photos, no matter what your reasons may be, St Francis Springs Prayer Center will not disappoint.

I have been to two multi-day retreats at St Francis Springs with two different groups. Each time, the staff and volunteers have been incredibly helpful and hospitable. The retreat center itself is incredibly beautiful and peaceful, both in the intentionality of the facilities and in the vast natural surroundings in which one can immerse oneself via extensive trails. It is truly a "thin place," welcoming you to commune more closely with God.

St Francis Springs Prayer Center is a spiritual oasis for me. The Staff, the food, the accommodations are superb. Father David & Anne make you feel right at home. Safety measures during the pandemic made me feel safe. I felt God's presence all weekend long in my retreat.

I absolutely love this place! The hermitages are so beautiful and peaceful. The food is delicious. The volunteers/host are so welcoming. And the nightly price can’t be beat. Amazing walks along the creek through the woods. Plenty of contemplative opportunities. Great bookstore with a lot of interdenominational and social justice-focused books. Everyone is welcome here!
