I attended Rockingham Community College from Fall of '21 to Spring of '23 for my Associate in Science degree, and I can safely say that I had a fantastic experience at this college. Relatively small even for a community college, RCC has classes that rarely extend beyond 20 students. As a result, you have a lot of opportunities to interact with your professors during class. The professors themselves are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable on their subjects, and they have a genuine desire to help you learn and succeed in the classroom. They'll make you work for your grade (this is college, after all) but they are there for you if you get lost or need help. And if for whatever reason you can't get access to a teacher during office hours, there's a tutoring center (called the ARC) in the Science building that can help you out as well (this place is especially helpful when writing those challenging essays). In addition, RCC's campus is very pretty, and almost has a private college look and feel. There are also some hiking trails that I highly recommend spending a lunch break on from time to time, as it's a very relaxing experience for anybody who loves being in nature, or just enjoys some peace and quiet. The main drawback I have is that I found the student life here to be somewhat lacking; I felt that most students just didn't want to get involved in extracurriculars. Overall, RCC is a phenomenal choice if you're looking to get your first 2 years of a bachelor's degree knocked out without getting swamped in student loan debt. I'm proud to call myself an Eagle and I highly recommend anyone in the area to trust the reviews here, give this college a visit, and consider attending!
