Jacobs Creek Batteau Landing

Part of the Danbury Plantation, home to Revolutionary War soldier and North Carolina Governor, Alexander Martin. The batteau landing provides access to the Dan River and a short hike, with information of Martin and his life. River Access & Paddle Trail: Jacobs Creek serves as a designated access point on the Dan River State Paddle Trail. Boaters may launch or take out at this location, and a turnaround area is available for convenient drop-off and pick-up of kayaks, canoes, and other paddlecraft. Accessibility Overview: Includes an ADA-accessible river access point, as well as a fully accessible platform and river overlook that provide safe entry to the water and scenic views of the Dan River. The site also offers ADA-compliant parking and pathways, connecting visitors from the parking area to key features of the park.
