Excellent maintained trail system, not too long of a trails. Just perfect for an hour walk with kids and dogs. Lots of wild life along the way. Thank you to the personnel for maintenance and cleaning. It's off season but still very walkable and hikable. Will recommend to anyone in the area to visit for aure

Herding and feeding ninety 10th graders for two days of environmental education is a Herculean feat, and the staff of the Summit were up to the task. The leadership had the program down to a science. Our counselors were well educated on the local flora and fauna. The outdoor program was interesting to my students and kept their attention. Forest bathing, wetland macro invertebrates, orienteering, and owl pellets were all highlights. The facilities, cabins, and dining were excellent. More than once I heard my kids mention how much they enjoyed the meals. The staff made sure all our students stayed well hydrated during the 13 miles or so we walked over two days. The only drawback was the overnight experience. The beds were VERY firm, which many students and I found uncomfortable. (Wish I could only remove a half star for this.) For future visits, I’d recommend bringing an inflatable mattress for added comfort. Despite this, the overall experience was exceptional, and we’re so grateful for the Summit staff’s dedication and expertise!
