High Rock Historical Trail

General headquarters for Nathanael Greene and the Southern Army before the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. Provides access to the Haw River and light hiking, with information about the Southern Army and the community that existed here in the Revolutionary period.

River Access & Paddle Trail – Launch your kayak, canoe, or tube from the park’s Haw River access point—the furthest upstream public put-in on the Haw River Paddle Trail and part of the Haw River State Trail—offering peaceful paddling downstream.

Accessibility Overview: High Rock Ford features a small gravel parking lot with no designated accessible parking spaces—guests should expect step-free entry, but the gravel surface and uneven terrain may challenge wheelchair users and those with mobility devices.
