General headquarters for Nathanael Greene and the Southern Army before the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. Provides access to the Haw River and light hiking, with information about the Southern Army and the community that existed here in the Revolutionary period.
River Access & Paddle Trail – Launch your kayak, canoe, or tube from the park’s Haw River access point—the furthest upstream public put-in on the Haw River Paddle Trail and part of the Haw River State Trail—offering peaceful paddling downstream.

It’s a nice quite lil trail to walk or chill at by the water. Water is deep enough for swimming in places. But it does get over grown at times so be careful walking in during summer.
