Leaksville Landing

Get Outdoors, Rivers & Lakes827 S Hamilton St, Eden, NC 27288, USA

Just upstream from this access are batteau landings built in the early 1800s that established Leaksville as a river port.  At extremely low water, the timbers can be observed. The downstream trip takes you by the stone bridge pier from an 1800s covered bridge, then by the confluence with the Smith River before you arrive at the Wildlife Access, on your right, before you get to the next Bridge.

Accessibility Overview: Paved parking is available at the top of the access, and a short, sloped paved drive leads to a gravel lot near the bridge that accommodates vehicles and small trailers. Metal stairs, with railings, lead to a small landing to launch canoes, kayaks, or tubes.
